I've said my attention is the most valuable commodity I own. Everywhere I look someone is trying to get a piece of it. "25 Ways to Win," sifts and sorts through many recovery themes and gets me to the bottom line of addiction recovery. I can pick up Ms. Halsey's book any time I need a boost, especially when my thinking goes sideways, and get back on the path to recovery, quickly. Even the Table of Contents, a reflection of the books therapeutic order, can be enough to correct my thinking errors.I can and do appreciate any author's personal recovery story, but so many times I have gotten bogged down reading for the how to's in a long, novel-like rendering of their experiences. Kim Halsey's work is direct and solution based. It guides me back into relationship with myself and my Higher Power, not Kim Halsey! Every time I keep it simple I win. Ms. Halsey has done that for me with her 25 nutritious morsels of bottom line guidance. I can grow here! This is a great get to the point recovery book! Sue O.
